Source Removal Cleaning Process
The entire inside surfaces of all supply and return air ducts are cleaned using
a high CFM vacuuming unit and the patented "Duct-Whip" cleaning system.
Trained technicians connect a 6" vacuum hose to your duct system (both supply
and return systems are cleaned, but are done separately to create the maximum amount of vacuum on one side of the system at a time). The technician then proceeds to remove and seal off all of the registers to create a giant vacuum inside the ductwork once the unit is turned on.
The technician then determines if the dirt in the branch runs is caked on. If so, he inserts high pressure compressed air whips down into each register line to agitate the dirt and push it into the main trunk lines.
After all the vents are whipped and blown down into the main trunk lines, we take the patented"Duct-Whip" and insert it into the main lines. The "Duct-Whip" is set up with three ( 3 ) whip leads. High pressure compressed air powers the whip lead movement, to tip speeds as high as 100 mph. The combination of aggressive lead movement and compressed air blasting from the tips of the whip leads is extremely effective at scrubbing and breaking up dirt.
Because the whip leads are so flexible, they go into places circular brushes can't reach, attach dirt from many angles and do a visibly better job.
Once the duct cleaning is complete, we then air wash the fan, blower motor compartment, A/C coil, burners and check the filter system on your furnace. This IS NOT a clean & check on your furnace so you should still continue to have your HVAC unit checked annually by your heating & cooling contractor.
OPTIONAL STEP: (for previously occupied spaces) As a final step in the cleaning process, a duct sanitizing treatment (EPA registered 1677-43) can be applied. This treatment sanitizes on contact, is not residual, is effective against mold, dust mites, staff, E Coli, Salmonella and all vegetative bacteria. It can be applied in the presence of people and around food preparation areas. |
